 Hi everyone,

 After upgrading to Pidgin 2.4.0, I noticed that I could no longer find-as-
 you-type in the buddylist window - it would halt after the first character
 was typed and wouldn't go any further-  the only way to make it go away
 was to click and delete the character.

 I also noticed that it appears to cause problems with some OTR
 conversations too; you get an error explaining that the user you're
 talking to is either using a different encoding or has a buggy client.

 With a little simple troubleshooting, I believe the issue is caused by the
 version of GTK that is shipped with Pidgin 2.4.0.  I fixed both of these
 problems by reinstalling the old version of Pidgin I had laying around on
 my Desktop, then installing Pidgin 2.4.0.

 Using GTK+ 2.12.1 rev b. with Pidgin 2.4.0 does not exhibit these
 problems.
