 Hmm, that's interesting.  If I copy and paste that message into Pidgin and
 use it as an away message it shows up correctly in my buddy list.

 If I paste it into AIM Lite in Windows the quote shows up as \u2019, but
 aside from that the rest of the message shows up correctly.
