Comment:

 Do you have a custom gtkrc file? Do you use the Pidgin GTK+ Theme Control
 plugin? Did you perhaps turn on the Pidgin GTK+ Theme Control plugin,
 click the Hyperlink color checkbox and then click it back off? Does the
 problem persist if you restart pidgin?
