 individual servers is how things appear under Pidgin." I have no idea what
 that means, can you elaborate? Do you mean aliases and things?

 Make sure the permissions on your .purple directory are correct (see if
 the debug window output Help->Debug Window) says anything about permission
 or writing errors when making changes to preferences/accounts/etc. in
 pidgin.
