 I personally don't think changes of this sort to the default buddy list
 are a good idea. I do, however, fully support the creation of alternate
 buddy lists which can do this (or anything else they like). I even support
 the idea of extracting the buddy list tree display code from the buddy
 list window code so that alternative buddy lists can be 'dropped into
 place' in the current Buddy List window.
