 When logged onto Pidgin with Yahoo Messenger, I can only receive text in
 chat, not send.  The user on the other end sees the line "[user] is
 typing", but never receives any text.  In other words, it is a one-way
 conversation.  It appears on my screen that they are receiving my text,
 but on the other computer you see nothing.

 I am using Ubuntu, Hardy Heron.  I have no plug-ins enabled, and
 yahoo.webmessenger.com works fine.  The other machines have been all XP
 machines.
