Comment:

 The GTK installer fails with a popup notifying me that it failed but not
 why.  Oddly, it seems to think I have GTK 2.12.8 installed somewhere.  I
 don't see where that would be, and isn't what Pidgin was using.

 I had no real need to upgrade, so I'm happy with 2.4.2 for now.   Thanks.
