Comment:

 I changed the GTK+ Theme back to MS-Windows, and the problem came back.
 Now I'll try changign the windows font.
 Well, it seems that only the "Segoe" size 8 and 9 do it, but the other
 fonts do not.
 Maybe it's something specific to that font.
