 The only effect will be that you not be able to use Bonjour (Link-Local
 Messaging).  If you don't know what that is, you probably wont be
 impacted.

 I am, however, curious why the hanging happened.  If you look in
 Add/Remove programs for Apple Bonjour - do you see it?  What version is
 it?
