Comment:

 until I restart my computer, because when it freezes, it locks up my
 entire pc. I can still access the web browser but only half of my
 applications are functioning. All protocols are active, but I've removed
 facebook now.

 I ended up doing a reformat and everything is fine now, must've just been
 windows, I assume it might have been some registry corruption.
