 Other details which may be useful...
 * I'm not and haven't been using a proxy server
 * I am able to sign into other Yahoo services, including Mail and Web
 Messenger
 * The real Yahoo Messenger program signs in OK
 * I can reproduce this error while signed in at home, at work, and over a
 cell modem
