 Confirmed on Debian sid, package version 2.5.5-1. Run 'pidgin -n', no
 crash at startup. Enable just my AIM account, no crash. Disable AIM
 account, enable any XMPP account, crash.

 Per [http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=523325 Debian bug
 #523325], I tried removing gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad (was version
 0.10.11-2+b1). After doing so, I am able to successfully enable XMPP
 accounts with no crash.

 I'll attach the trace bug-buddy gave me momentarily.
