 Sure, on the other some hints would be useful. I really like

 libpurple/plugins/perl/scripts/function_list.pl
 }}}
 It works perfectly for me for direct functions (like apparently
 Purple::XMLNode::from_str in your suggestion), but it would be even better
 if it included even objects' methods (like $packet->to_str()) as well.
