 Livejournal recently changed their XMPP servers to ignore client aliases,
 so now whenever I try to create an alias for an LJ-chat user, it
 disappears the next time I sign on.  I find myself renaming my most
 commonly used buddies each time.  Can there be a way to force pidgin to do
 this automatically for certain buddies and/or accounts and ignore the
 server alias (or lack thereof)?
