 I have add myself (my jabber id) to my buddy list.
 Then any attempt to remove this item silently failed
 (and if this item was in other group than General, it
 is moved to General group)

 Pidgin 2.6.2 / WIndowsXP.

 Note: I am not sure if this bug is not specific to
 jabber server I use - jabber.cz
