 This is crashing in gstreamer, I don't see pidgin anywhere in the
 backtrace. This sounds to me like perhaps your installation of gstreamer
 is broken somehow (or that perhaps this is the known gstreamer +
 pulseaudio resources leak/crash).

 You can check to make sure you have all of the appropriate updates to
 gstreamer for your system and see if that helps. Otherwise disabling
 sounds in pidgin or using the command method with something like 'aplay'
 should prevent the crash (though not solve the real problem).
