 I would expect these features at least:

  * most voted ever shorted by number of votes
  * voting should be a one click operation on the main page
  * most voted by period
  * openid support
  * ideas should not be closed by developers
  * the subject of ideas should not change
  * ideas should not be restricted to the current scope of the project
