Comment:

 Check the [ThirdPartyPlugins#Interfacetweaks interface tweaks] section of
 the ThirdPartyPlugins page for the "Extended Buddy List Sort" plugin, it
 provides an "Online/Offline" sorting mode that is likely what is being
 requesting, and some other sorting options on top of that.
