 I'm having the same problem, but it remains after I disabled all plugins.
 I'm fairly sure it's not a dup of http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/6907
 as I'm running 2.5.3.0 (now the debug version); and the crash occurs after
 I receive offline messages over MSN. Pidgin does not crash when I disable
 my MSN account, neither when I disable it just before the last offline
 message is received.

 I tried version 2.4.2 yesterday after a complete uninstall and deletion of
 the folder 'C:\Program Files\Pidgin', then it seemed to work again (only
 not my ICQ account as, so I believe pidgin said, the protocol was changed
 and I had to update Pidgin). Then I tried 2.5.3.0 again and the problem
 seemed to have disappeared, but now this morning when I turned my computer
 back on and started pidgin the problem was back.

 I tried to go online on MSN with meebo.com, the MSN webclient and with
 Windows Messenger 4.7 to try to empty the 'offline messages queue'. Only
 in the first I tried, meebo.com, the messages came through, none of the
 others gave me the messages (which is logical to me), but pidgin keeps on
 dumping them...
