 When I try join a channel example: #pimpänen
 Pidgin let's me enter the channel, but I can't see anyone on the channel
 or what they are writing.
 I think that reason is with the scandic letters ä, ö and å.
 Other channels work fine, but if the channel name has any of the above
 mentioned letters, it wont't work.
