New description:
 After some experementing I find I can still login to MSN on the old
 Windows Live Messenger client and some nasty web based clients, but all of
 a sudden pidgin won't authenticate.
 I suspect this is actually Microsoft making things difficult as usual,
 rather than a bug, but it still seems worth reporting to me.
 Here is the most obvious relevent output from "pidgin -d":
 {{{
 (15:15:20) msn: Got the Address Book!
 (15:15:20) msn: AB Faultstring: Passport Authorization Failed
 (15:15:20) msn: AB Error Code: PassportAuthFail
 (15:15:20) msn: C: NS 000: OUT
 (15:15:20) account: Disconnecting account 0x816c220
 }}}
 The full debug output should be attached.
