#8177: Pidgin won't start Visual C Runtime Error on startup

 I have installed numerous versions and have been getting this error since
 2.5.3. I've tried different versions of GTK and Pidgin, to no success.

 I cannot use pidgin because I continue to get the Microsoft Visual C++
 Runtime Error: This application has requested the runtime to terminate in
 an unusual way.

 Attached is debug.log.

 Please help, I want to use Pidgin and have found no answers from previous
 tickets.
