Comment:

 Other than not being able to open links, or copy anything to an external
 clipboard, pidgin is still running smoothly 25 hours after the error
 started.

 A workaround to avoid having to restart pidgin to open links:


 tail -f pidgin_debug.log|sed -n '/.*\(http:\/\/[^ ]*\) .*/s//\
 \1/p'
