Comment:

 pidgin does not tie groups to accounts, pidgin is not intended to be
 shared by more than one person at a time. We suggest that people use
 multiple system accounts as needed for this sort of thing, if that is not
 an option we provide the ability to use the -c flag to specify an
 alternate location for pidgin to store its configuration. This may be used
 (via shortcuts) to allow multiple people to use pidgin individually from
 the same system account.
