 Oh, OK, I didn't know that key binding came from GTK+ and was virtually
 hardcoded. I thought the tabs management was equal to gnome-terminal which
 has the same default configuration (Ctrl-PgUp/Dn) and can be changed to
 whatever one wants to.

 Thanks for the tip to use Ctrl-[ and Ctrl-] - this is however no option on
 a German language keyboard where those combintions would end up being
 Ctrl-AltGr-8 and Ctrl-AltGr-9 :-)
