 This is indeed related to gstreamer, so you should probably report these
 crashes to Fedora.

 Do you have gstreamer-properties installed? Does it work properly? What
 sound output method in Pidgin's Preferences is configured? (If pidgin is
 crashing at startup, run `pidgin -n` to start up in offline mode). Does
 the "Test" sound button work in Pidgin's preferences?
