Comment(by QuLogic):

 If you start up with a custom smiley of this sort defined, then it works
 correctly. If you later edit that smiley, it stops working.

 For whatever reason, `gtk_imhtml_smiley_get` does not return the
 `GtkIMHtmlSmiley`. I don't quite understand the whole `GtkSmileyTree`
 thing yet to know why.
