Comment:

 Even if this patch doesn't require new versions of GLib or GTK+, I'd still
 like to see it target 2.7.0. I think that we'll end up changing our
 version policy for 2.7.0, and then we can commit this with the blink ui op
 (since it'll be a minor bump anyway) and we can drop all the libegg code
 simultaneously.
