 IRC has a fixed message size length. When using Pidgin, there is no
 warning given that you have exceeded this length and your message was
 truncated.

 Furthermore, on your end of the communication, the message appears intact,
 however the other end of the communication is truncated. This gives the
 illusion to the sender that the message was complete.

 Reported on 2.5.5-1.fc11 running on x86_64
