Comment:

 There isn't anything that we can reasonably do about that.  We're asking
 Windows to open the website with the default "http" handler - that should
 be relatively immediate.  In your case, Windows is apparently not
 returning until the page finishes loading.

 Try switching your browser to a different browser and then back to the
 current one.
