 While you're in that code, it would be nice to format links so that other
 clients consider them clickable. Right now links are formatted like this:

 <span style="font-family: Lucida Grande; font-size: medium;"
 >http://www.pidgin.im/</span>

 But XEP-0071 says to format them like this:

 <a href='http://www.pidgin.im/'>http://www.pidgin.im/</a>

 (Not that I have any objections to the <span/> element, but the hyperlink
 would be nice.)
