 The closest thing I'm aware of that currently exists is the groupmsg
 plugin in the Purple Plugin Pack (link available on the ThirdPartyPlugins
 wiki page).  That plugin, however, allows only sending a message to an
 entire group, with no ability to select multiple individual buddies.
