 Ok I tried what you suggested, and Pidgin no longer recognizes Yahoo
 protocol.  Please see images Pidgin4.jpg and Pidgin5.jpg.

 process for testing purposes.  To test this, install Pidgin 2.7.1 and then
 replace libymsg.dll, libyahoo.dll, and libyahoojp.dll with the ones I have
 attached to this ticket.
