 When trying to start pidgin over an ssh pipe with X forwarding turned on,
 The "Buddy List" window doesn't come up.  I am using the 2.7.1 source
 which I compiled on Ubuntu Desktop Edtion 10.04 32 bit.  All relevant
 libraries were installed using `apt-get build-dep pidgin`.

 A work around suggested by deryni: '... try editing prefs.xml and changing
 the docklet/show pref to "never"'.  This worked after restarting pidgin.
