 Forgive me the vagueness of this ticket (I have got a plane to catch)/

 For some time now, I have been having pidgin crashes that appear to be
 triggered when custom smileys are used. I didn't really report this since
 I am running a Gentoo system and was probably having some library
 misconfiguration or something, making me probably the only one having this
 issue, and I would look at it later.

 My friend now claims to have the exact behavior on a Windows system, also
 using pidgin-2.7.1. He thinks it has to do with custom smileys that were
 not used before.

 Again, apologies for the lack of rock-solid evidence, please help
 reproduce on a system of your choice (using pidgin 2.7.1 though)
