 I started seeing the exact same issue last week. But I would get signed in
 while at work but at home I'd get the "Received invalid data" response.
 Now I can't login at all. I ran pidgin -d and see the exact log statements
 from above.
 I'm running on ubuntu 1104 with pidgin 2.9.0. If my account really is
 locked wonder why I can sign into yahoo mail?
 @flytape8490, did you ever find a solution to your problem? Wait 24 hrs
 for you account to unlock?
