 Can you disable all accounts but the hyves.nl account in question and get
 the Debug Window output from the initial connection through moving the
 buddy then disconnecting the account and reconnecting it? Reconnecting
 should be enough you shouldn't need to restart pidgin for this.

 In the log you attached you appear to have attempted to move two buddies
 but pidgin seems to have made no attempts at moving the first one and the
 server seems to have responded to the attempt at moving the second one as
 if pidgin was requesting the initial roster (and not attempting a move).

 I'm wondering if the server may be doing something odd here, this wouldn't
 be the first time we've had issues with hyves.nl.
