 Hmm, sounds similar to #13773, that iChat is able to connect to pidgin's
 bonjour but not the other way round. If it is the same issue then it
 should have been fixed in 2.10.0, I guess. Does the issue still exist
 there?

 Did you have this issue between pidgin+pidgin, pidgin+empathy or
 pidgin+iChat?
