 This particular API
 [https://git.collabora.com/cgit/farstream.git/commit/?id=fb64d45034c76c7e8e336440296f6f84bd7b87c3
 was changed back in 2011]. Far(sight|stream) has no clear mechanism which
 could be used to determine the version of the library being compiled
 against at compile-time, which makes the whole issue much more
 complicated.

 Please follow up if you still need to use such an old version of this
 library.
