 This suggestion is to include an automatic reply feature, but only to
 contacts who have not been sent that particular reply before, regardless
 of the user's activity status.

 I'd want to use this in conjuction with another suggestion which could
 otherwise potentially confuse my contacts at first:

 One more common use case would be someone using pidgin for business
 reasons, and wanting to deliver an automatic greeting/introduction to a
 customer, but only once.
