Comment:

 Expanding contacts is a giant waste of space. I have contacts with
 anywhere from 1 to ~15 buddies underneath. Why should I waste all that
 space? Your argument for expanding buddies flows from the premise that you
 "like the protocol icons more". If you take that away, there's nothing
 left. If you want icons because that's what you're used to, that's simply
 not a strong enough justification. If you have some real problem, let us
 know so we can find the right solution.

 This is still a duplicate of #414 with no new use case presented.
