 That did the trick nicely. The line is as follows:

 Setting locale: LANG=en

 Some other info: I'm running english Vista Business and my local is set to
 Norwegian, Bokmål (Norway). This is probably not relevant but, whenever I
 get a choice I select english language in my applications
