 Newer versions of Aspell will share the dictionary in memory, but there
 have been complications in getting the newer Aspell versions to work
 correctly on Windows.

 I've created a patched version of !GtkSpell 2.0.11 which will share Aspell
 instances to avoid duplicating the dictionary in memory.  You can download
 it from [http://briefcase.yahoo.com/bc/d_atallah@att.net/lst?.dir=/Pidgin
 here] and replace your `libgtkspell.dll` with the one in that tarball.
 I'm planning to include the patched version in future Pidgin releases to
 address this issue.
