 khc: Yup, you're right it could be replaced by a plugin calling the
 set_ui_ops().
 rlaager: Flags are being added in place of the two booleans in this patch.

 If this is a problem, can add ui_ops with a minor version? If so, I could
 work around this with a new ui_op, then fix it properly in the next major
 version.
