 Unless I'm misreading that you don't actually have the notify plugin doing
 anything, am I reading that correctly? I use the message notification
 plugin both at home and at work and I have it doing things and have not
 had your issues and have not seen a crash I could track down to it in
 years.

 Does loading the plugin again cause the freezes to start? Does no other
 plugin cause them?

 I think I see what probably caused the crash report you uploaded though
 I'm entirely unsure how it could be a problem for you and not for everyone
 else. I'm making a change which should hopefully fix that problem (though
 I've never seen it and have no idea how you are seeing it unless something
 deeper is confused with your GTK+ setup/install).
