 This is going to be a GTK+ issue of some sort.

 If you can recreate this with any other GTK+ applications (e.g. [http
 ://gimp-win.sf.net GIMP]), you may want to file a ticket in the
 [http://bugzilla.gnome.org gnome bugzilla] as that is the only way that it
 has a chance of being fixed.
